环境与气候经济学是中国科学院大学经济与管理学院的优势学科，聚集了发展中国家科学院院士、国家杰青、优青等一批专业人才和优秀师资，具有十多年的环境政策与气候经济研究积淀，组建了国内较早的综合评估模型研究团队。近些年研究成果颇丰，在顶级期刊Science发表了国内第一篇经济学研究长文，也在Nature、Nature Energy、Nature Communications、Nature Human Behavior、iScience（Cell子刊）、Ecological Economics、Energy Economics、Climate Change Economics、《经济研究》、《管理世界》等国内外著名期刊上发表研究上百篇。研究工作获得了省部委科技进步奖、教育部高校优秀成果奖、Springer Nature“改变世界”全球杰出研究奖等多项。研究成果在国内外产生了强烈的反响，先后被Science、Nature、参考消息、中国科学报、凤凰卫视、BBC、Forbes、The Economists、New Scientist、New York Times等数十家媒体采访和报道，相关政策报告数十次获得中央和政府部门的肯定。
